Friends of Muir
Volunteering
Children thrive when they see their families, teachers, and neighbors working together to create supportive and engaging learning environments. Volunteering is wonderful way to get involved, meet other members of our Muir community, and directly contribute to the success of our students and various school programs that wouldn’t be possible without you.
Your time and talent are invaluable. Whether you can commit to a few hours a year or few hours a week, there’s a place for you to make a difference to our Muir community. By volunteering, you help us enrich classroom experiences, make extracurricular activities become possible, and create memorable events for our children and the entire Muir community. Explore the opportunities below and sign up for the areas where you would like to help.
Kona Ice Wednesdays
Kona Ice is a great way for us to raise money to support the school. A percentage of all purchases comes directly back to us, helping to fund school programs. For this event to run smoothly, we need volunteers to help the Kona Ice team assist students with their purchases. Your help ensures a fun and safe experience for everyone!
Garden Class on Wednesdays
Explore the year-round garden class opportunities. We have rotations throughout the school year. You can sign up for your child's class rotation or volunteer for any other time that best suits your schedule. Your help allows our students to get the most out of their time in the garden, and our teachers and ranger appreciate your support!
